Full Service Provider for Lithium-ion Batteries.
The lithium-ion battery recycling plant has been in operation since 2018. Redux has been researching and developing technology since then to further improve its processes. The plant can receive all types of lithium-ion batteries, i.e. household batteries, portable batteries and electric vehicle batteries, as well as battery manufacturing scrap.
The process recovers important secondary raw materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, copper, plastic and active material.
In addition, the energy obtained by discharging the batteries is fed into Redux’s own grid.
On the Road to Zero Waste
The path from the idea to the scale model took six years. An additional two years were needed to actually realise the large-scale plant. But we are still some way off our goal. Our vision is zero waste, which means that in the long term, we’re aiming for a recycling rate of 100 %.
